Turkey Week Trip to NC

This week kicked off two months filled with fun, family & friends!  We spent time in NC from Tuesday until Saturday this week for Thanksgiving.  It was a busy and fun filled week.  Enjoy a recap of all the great things we did.

Tuesday (11/22) - We left the Nashville airport early in the morning to head to NC.  Mom and dad picked us up at the airport and we enjoyed some relaxing time in the afternoon.  Tuesday night we went to the UNC vs. TSU basketball game.  We love seeing the Tarheels play and really love seeing them score over 100 points!!

Love Zeller and LOVE sitting 3 rows off the floor!

Wednesday (11/23) - The weather was beautiful on this day so me, Troy, Grace and Dad went to Raleigh to enjoy the newly renovated Pullen Park.  For those from NC, you all remember going there on field trips as kids right?  Well, the place is amazing now.  They did a nice job with it and we had a fabulous time.  Here is a link to info about the park and its history.  When we got back from the park we helped mom with some of the prep for Turkey day.

I am not sure who had more fun!!

The restored carousel was awesome

After all the fun at the park, we had to stop at Char Grill for a burger!

Thursday (11/24) - Thanksgiving Day spent with all of our family!!  We enjoyed a nice relaxing day at home with all of the Spells, Teasleys and Princes.  We are thankful that we get to spend time with all of our family on days like this one.

The pretty Turkey!  This was just one of the many yummy things we had to eat.

The final look at the banana pudding...looks like it is from a magazine.

A little Thanksgiving sing-a-long with Grace

Friday (11/25) - We had to get out in the Black Friday shopping, at least a little, so we did some shopping, went to see Santa and Grace got her ears pierced.  After all of that excitement, the adults went to see the Rockettes at the DPAC.  What a fun filled day!!

A little unhappy after the first one.  Poor thing had no idea what she had been begging for over the last few weeks.

Proud of her pearls

And to top it off, she got some lip gloss before we left Merle Norman!  She is growing up way too fast!!

Showing off her new earrings and her lip gloss

Rockettes...no pictures allowed so the curtain and the program are the best I could do!  If you ever have a chance to go to this show, do it!!

Saturday (11/25) - We headed back to TN early today after a wonderful home cooked breakfast made by my dad!  It was sad to leave but we know we will be going back very soon for a much longer trip!!

It's beginning to look a lot like...

CHRISTMAS!!  Ok, I know what you are thinking...it's not even Thanksgiving yet! Well the last few years we have been putting up our decorations before Thanksgiving so we have more time to enjoy them. This weekend we got our tree up and decorated.  Needless to say Grace is loving it!  Saturday she would not stop talking about Christmas.  Enjoy a few photos of us decorating the tree.  Tuesday morning we head to NC to celebrate Thanksgiving and we look forward to spending time with family and friends over the next few days.

Excited to decorate the tree!

Helping daddy shape the branches.  For some reason she felt she needed to lay down under the tree to do this!?!

Excited to put on the first ornament
