We started off the new year by saying goodbye to Troy as he headed back to TN. But we had some exciting things to look forward to like Grace starting her new school!
New school day one was a success!!
Taking these two munchkins to school in the mornings is so much fun!
It is kinda fun having two to take care of. LOL!
The weather at the beginning of January was not too cold so we got to enjoy some time outside.
Posing for a morning photo
Grace got a lot of fun games for Christmas. Princess Candyland has been one of her favorites to play with Granny.
Another morning pose. Notice the leg pop!
One of the cool things about being back in NC was being
able to get a Meredith College license plate.
Granny and her babies!!
Towards the end of January we got a little winter precipitation and were able to enjoy a little time off during the work week. Grace, Granny and I enjoyed baking together.
Notice the snow outside
Helping mommy with the ingredients
Sneaking a taste of the cookie dough with granny
At school in January one of the topics was on opposites.
I found it ironic they chose Grace to represent loud vs. quiet!!
When I saw this outside the classroom I laughed until I cried!!
We ended January with a little Huntley time!! He is growing soooo fast!!
Well, I promised a new blog posting last week and now realize the undertaking that would be to update on all we have had going on since NOVEMBER! What a blog slacker I have become. Hopefully this post will start to get me back on track. ENJOY!!
December Fun
We decided not to do a lot of decorating for the holidays this year since we were packing for Grace and I to move to NC. One of the things we did hang up was our Christmas card holder. Boombah seemed to like using it as a resting place.
One of our favorite Christmas Murfreesboro traditions is going to the Christmas parade. This year was just as memorable!
One night when we were packing, we almost packed Grace!!
Amid all the craziness we enjoyed relaxing some
evenings by the light of the tree.
Boombah apparently loves M&Ms
Grace, Aunt SuSu and her new sock monkey
I think Boombah was afraid we would leave him behind
Arbor always knows the best presents for Grace!
Boombah's last trick in Murfreesboro
My last week of work at MTSU was busy but sad. We have made some lifelong friendships during our time in TN and it was hard to say goodbye!! My last day was bittersweet for sure!
My boss took me out for breakfast on my last day.
My gift was appropriately wrapped in a black bag!
Though I asked no one make a big deal
out of me leaving, they did anyway!
These ladies were the hardest to say goodbye to!
Beautiful flowers from my GA
Leaving was harder than I expected and I was pretty emotional the week we left for NC.
My last look at Womack as we drove away from campus early in the morning!
This was my view ALL THE WAY to NC!!
Being home in NC felt great and we jumped in to enjoying our time with family during the holiday!!
Troy and I on our 9th wedding anniversary
We enjoyed attending a UNC game with dad, Katie & Brick...
Just a quick note - I have decided to lock down the blog so only those I invite can view it. I apologize if this is inconvenient for any of you, but it is necessary for now. I hope to get a new post up soon!
