It is amazing to sit today and watch the news coverage and think about how quickly the last 10 years have passed by. Instead of dwelling on the bad things this day represents, I want to talk about the good! Today my parents celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary and that is such a happy thing to celebrate. MTSU celebrates 100 years today as well. Two wonderful milestones to outshine the negative things 9/11 represents. In ten years I have gotten a Master Degree, met and married the best man I know (besides my daddy) and have been blessed with a child. Days like today remind me just how fortunate we all are to have such wonderful blessings in our lives.
On another note, Clement Hall was completely torn down this past week. I have been sharing photos of the progress they were making on the building and I can now report it is a pile for debris. It is sad to see our first MTSU home go away but I know there is something even better going in its place and in the future of MTSU.
Saturday was the first MTSU home game. Though we did not plan to tailgate or attend, Grace and Troy went to the Grove for a while to visit the Housing Tailgate and see some friends.
Later on Saturday we venture to the TN State Fair in Nashville. I must say that it is not near as good as the NC State Fair but it was fun and Grace enjoyed all the rides.
When we first arrived at the fairgrounds the racers were practicing for the night race so we stopped to watch a few laps.
Grace liked see all the animals at the fair
Before riding and of the rides we had to make sure Grace was tall enough. Mommy was smart to put a bow in her hair! Made her a little taller!!
Probably on of the funniest things I have seen in a while was the Banana Derby!
Our view of downtown Nashville from the Ferriswheel
Troy rode this! Grace and I watched from the ground!!
Needless to say we all had a blast at the TN Fair!
